Medical Testing Data Breach Adds Another 2.2 Million Patients

Clinical Pathology Laboratories (CPL) has become the latest medical testing company to reveal it was affected by a massive data breach at billing service American Medical Collection Agency. So reports TechCrunch.

CPL has said that hackers may have stolen the names, addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, dates of service, balance information and treatment provider information for 2.2 million patients.

LabCorp, Quest Diagnostics and BioReference Laboratories previously confirmed AMCA-related breaches involving a total of more than 20 million patients. AMCA has filed for bankruptcy protection and faces class-action lawsuits.
