Facebook Fails to Dodge Data-breach Lawsuit

Facebook must face a lawsuit over a breach that affected almost 30 million users. So reports Bloomberg.

A federal court late last month rejected the social media company’s request to dismiss the entire case. U.S. District Court Judge William Alsup ruled that claims for negligence and for failing to secure users’ data may go forward in the case, which follows the company’s announcement last September of a hack that was regarded as Facebook’s worst breach to date.
