Facebook Investigates Report of Massive Instagram Breach

Facebook said it was looking into a report of a data breach exposing the contact information for millions of accounts on the social-media company’s Instagram photo-sharing service, including celebrities, “influencers,” and brands. So reports TechCrunch.

Security researcher Anurag Sen reportedly found a database containing 49 million records and growing. TechCrunch linked the database to Mumbai social-media marketing firm Chtrbox, which disputed the extent of the breach.
