Equifax CEO Grilled in Washington Over 2017 Mega-breach

Equifax CEO Mark Begor was testifying in a House hearing on credit reporting last week when Rep. Katie Porter (D-Calif.) drew attention by asking him if he would share his personal information. So reports MarketWatch.

The newly seated lawmaker said: “My question for you is whether you would be willing to share today your Social Security, your birthdate and your address at this public hearing.” Begor, whose company is still tied up in court fights over a 2017 breach that compromised about 148 million customers’ information, politely declined.
