Cyber Attack Hobbles Farm Services Cooperative During Harvest

Farm services provider NEW Cooperative has divulged that a cybersecurity incident prompted it to shut down its networks right in the midst of harvest season. So reports Reuters.

corn 264520 640The cooperative runs grain storage elevators in Iowa, the state that produces the nation’s most corn.

NEW Cooperative said in a statement, “We have proactively taken our systems offline to contain the threat, and we can confirm it has been successfully contained.”
