Hospitals At 'Imminent' Risk of Cyberattacks, U.S. Warns

Three federal agencies have warned that the U.S. healthcare system faces “an imminent and increased cybercrime threat.” So reports CNN.

red cross 303433 640smallThe U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, and the Department of Health and Human Services released an advisory about ransomware targeting hospitals and healthcare providers.

The agencies said they were sounding the alarm “to provide warning to healthcare providers to ensure that they take timely and reasonable precautions to protect their networks from these threats.”
