Jack Daniel’s, Carnival Cruise Companies Hit By Ransomware

Jack Daniel’s distiller Brown-Forman and cruise giant Carnival have joined the ranks of companies targeted by apparent or confirmed ransomware attacks. So reports Ars Technica.

ransomware 2318381 640Browns-Forman confirmed being hit by a cyber attack but did not comment on Dark Web site claims that purported members of the REvil ransomware group had collected one terabyte of information from the company.

Carnival said in a regulatory filing that a ransomware attack exposed its employees’ and customer’ personal data.
