Cybersecurity Startup HackerOne Raises $36.4M

HackerOne, a startup that provides a “bounty” for discovering bugs, has announced $36.4 million in venture capital funding. So reports VentureBeat.

HackerOne charges a 20% commission to companies and connects them with so-called white-hat hackers, who earn incentive money for reporting software security flaws.

Based in San Francisco, HackerOne was founded in 2012 and said it paid out $19 million in bounties last year, with 100 hackers receiving more than $100,000 apiece.
