Representing 99% of U.S. firms and employing almost half of Americans, small businesses saw a 150% spike in cyberattacks between 2020 and 2021, according to Mastercard subsidiary Risk Recon.
As the pandemic began in March 2020, just 20% of small businesses intended to spend on cybersecurity, according to a CNBC survey.
