Researchers at the University of Cambridge in England found the flaw affecting coding compilers, software that translates human-written, “high-level” code into a machine-readable format, or “machine code.”
The researchers found that compilers typically have a flaw that could allow a bad actor to give machines code that overrides what programmers have written.
