U.S. Soldiers Compromise Nuclear Security with Flashcard Apps  

U.S. soldiers' use of flashcard learning apps to help memorize security procedures has accidentally exposed sensitive information about the U.S. nuclear arsenal in Europe, a researcher at investigation site Bellingcat has found. So reports Wired.

radioactive 24000 640The details exposed include specifics about where weapons are probably stored within bases, security camera positions, patrol frequency and even secret words that guards are meant to use if they’re being threatened.

Bellingcat was able to find the cards “by simply searching online for terms publicly known to be associated with nuclear weapons.”
