According to the complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, Salesforce and Hanna Andersson violated the California Consumer Protection Act in connection with a data breach announced January 15.
In addition to running afoul of the CCPA, which went in force this year, plaintiff Bernard Barnes also alleges that the two companies violated California’s Unfair Competition Law and were negligent.
