CISA Asks for Public Input On Software Security Form  

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has called for public comment on a new form that software producers will be required to use to self-attest that applications they provide to the federal government meet minimum security standards. So reports Cybersecurity Dive.

CISAThe Office of Management and Budget issued guidance on self-attestation in September. President Joe Biden included the initiative in a 2021 executive order responding to the SolarWinds and Colonial Pipeline cybersecurity incidents.

CISA’s comment period on the self-attestation form will be open until June 26.
