The settlement, disclosed in a court filing, comes shortly before Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and outgoing chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg were expected to be questioned by plaintiffs’ attorneys.
Revelation of the breach back in 2018 prompted Zuckerberg to testify before Congress, led to a multi-billion-pound fine against Meta and erased more than $100 billion in share value within days.
