G-7 Teams Up On 'Cybersecurity Exercise' Amid Financial Threats  

Finance officials and central bank chiefs from the Group of Seven, a club of economic powers, have run a “cybersecurity exercise” to show the need for global coordination as the financial system faces mounting threats. So reports Bloomberg.

cyber security 3194286 640The U.S. Department of Treasury said in a statement that the exercise “covered how G-7 members will seek to cooperate in the hypothetical event of a significant, cross-border incident affecting the financial sector.”

The exercise comes after the G-7 set out a multi-year program that calls for “regularly rehearsed response and recovery procedures” to address cyber threats.
