McAfee To Go Private in $14B Deal

McAfee agreed to go private in a buyout deal with investors worth more than $14 billion. So reports The Verge.

McAfeeThe security software company, which returned to public markets last October, said the deal with Advent International Corp., Permira Advisers, Crosspoint Capital Partners and other investors is set to close in the first half of 2022.

Known for its antivirus software, McAfee was founded by John McAfee, who was found dead in a Barcelona prison in June while facing extradition for U.S. tax fraud charges.
