QuintessenceLabs CEO and founder Vikram Sharma said the company plans to use the funding to widen its customer base worldwide.
Sharma said QuintessenceLabs applies quantum physics for a number generator called qStream that generates encryption keys more purely random than is possible under conventional physics.
