UMass Hires Cybersecurity Firm to Probe Racist Emails  

The University of Massachusetts Amherst has retained cybersecurity firm Stroz Friedberg Digital Forensics to look into the origins of racist emails sent to Black student groups, the school chancellor said. So reports CBS.

umassIn the emails, a purported group dubbed UMass Coalition For A Better Society mocks supposed characteristics of Black people.

Chancellor Kumble Subbaswamy is quoted as saying,“We will not be intimidated by the hateful acts of craven individuals who hide in anonymity.”
