Apple Speeds Out Emergency Update to Fix Spyware Flaw  

Apple has released emergency software updates to patch a security flaw that allows spyware to infect devices without victims’ knowledge. So reports The New York Times.

iphone 518101 640Apple’s security team hustled to update the software in less than a week after cybersecurity watchdog Citizen Lab found that advanced spyware from Israel’s NSO Group had infected a Saudi activist’s iPhone.

The revelation meant that more than 1.65 billion Apple devices globally have been susceptible to NSO’s spyware, which doesn’t even depend on its victims clicking a link, since March or earlier.
