Biden Admin to Put Cybersecurity First in $1B IT Spending

The Biden administration plans to make cybersecurity a top priority as it spends $1 billion in information technology funding allocated by Congress this year. So reports The Washington Post.

Biden smile 5621670 640Other spending priorities include “critical” IT modernization, public-facing services and programs that cross agencies, according to plans for the Office of Management and Budget and General Services Administration.

Federal chief information officer Clare Martorana said the goal is to use the money to help the federal government better respond to SolarWinds and COVID-19 while bolstering the economy.
