Hacking Group Member Gets 10 Years in Prison

A top member in a cybercrime organization behinds billions of dollars in corporate losses has been sentenced to 10 years in prison. So reports Engadget.

jail 1287943 1280Ukrainian national Fedir Hladyr, who according to the U.S. government was a systems administrator for hacking group dubbed Fin7, had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit computer hacking.

Through a complex scheme, Fin7 stole tens of millions of payment card numbers of customers at chains such as Chipotle Mexican Grill, Chili’s, Arby’s and Red Robin, according to the Department of Justice.
