Top Cybersecurity Official Out After Disputing Trump Fraud Claims

President Donald Trump fired the director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Chris Krebs, after the official publicly contradicted Trump’s evidence-free claims of election fraud. So reports Bloomberg.

trump 1822121 640 smallKrebs and his agency have vigorously disputed common fraud claims about a November 3 election they declared “the most secure in American history,” even setting up a “rumor control” website to dispel some unfounded assertions.

The former Microsoft executive was nominated to a senior cybersecurity role in 2018 by Trump, advancing later that year to become the head of CISA.
