The company said earlier this month that a federal court order allowed it to take over U.S.-based servers running the botnet, a network of malware-infected computers that raised concerns about election interference.
While security firms Intel 471 and Feodo Tracker noted that Trickbot continued to operate, Microsoft said, “We believe we have succeeded in severely limiting Trickbot’s capabilities.”
