Staffers at online-safety nonprofit Digital Citizens Alliance said that from May to July, they had no trouble purchasing misleading domain names like Getcoronavirusvaccines.com, freecoronavaccine.net and Bleachcoronaviruscure.com from GoDaddy, Google Domains and other registrars.
GoDaddy directed The Washington Post to a blog post from March, while a Google spokesperson said the company bans using its domain names for illegal ends.
