Data for Nearly 400,000 BMW Drivers is Sold on Dark Web: Reports

The personal data of almost 400,000 U.K.-based BMW customers is being auctioned off online, according to KELA, a Tel Aviv-based darknet intelligence firm. So reports Tom’s Guide.

bmw 1596080 640The hacking group KelvinSecurity Team, which recently attempted to sell data from U.S. business consultancy Frost & Sullivan, was behind the BMW sale, KELA said.

KELA told SC Magazine that the database included BMW customers’ last names, home addresses, email addresses, vehicle numbers and other personal information.
