Cyber-attack Service Owners Sentenced in Israeli Court

The co-owners of a business that helped customers launch more than two million cyber attacks, downing innumerable websites, have each received six-month sentences of community service in Israeli court. So reports Krebs on Security.

gavel 3577258 640 smallYarden Bidani and Itay Huri, Israeli citizens arrested in 2016 at age 18, ran vDOS, a service enabling distributed denial-of-service attacks (DDoS).

The sentences were the lowest allowed because both defendants were minors during most of their offenses for which they convicted, including “corrupting/disturbing a computer or computer material.”
