McAfee Names Peter Leav as New CEO

Cybersecurity company McAfee has appointed Peter Leav, who formerly led BMC Software, as its new CEO. So reports Reuters.

handshake 220233 1280Leav takes over for Chris Young, who moves to McAfee’s majority owner, private equity firm TPG, as a senior adviser. Leav spent three years as president and CEO of BMC, a business software company, leaving in 2019 after an $8.5 billion buyout of BMC by private equity firm KKR.

The move reportedly lends McAfee the opportunity to potentially go public under a new boss.
