Florida Sets Aside $5.1M for Elections Cybersecurity

Florida has committed $5.1 million to help election officials ramp up the state’s cybersecurity efforts ahead of the 2020 presidential election, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced. So reports Orlando Weekly.

The total includes $2.3 million in unspent funds from the 2018 midterm elections, which DeSantis chose to redistribute. Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report identified the state as a target of hackers.
