D.C.-area Cybersecurity Industry Sees Boost with Two Deals

The Washington, D.C. area, already home to a booming cybersecurity sector that has spawned companies like Mandiant, Sourcefire and Tenable, has received another lift. So reports The Washington Post.

In one recent cybersecurity deal, California-based FireEye said it paid $250 million to buy McLean, Va.-based Verodin. Two days later, Reston, Va-based TruShield Security Solutions said it had been bought by a private equity firm and combined with two more businesses.
