Democratic Party Still Trailing GOP on Network Security: Study

The Democratic National Committee’s information security scores slightly lower than the Republican National Committee’s protections, despite “significant investments” since a 2016 hack, according to new research by security-monitoring firm SecurityScorecard. So reports Ars Technica.

Both major parties had lapses that could potentially compromise voters’ personally identifying information, SecurityScorecard found. Democrats and Republicans alike came out ahead of parties in European countries, where researchers found active malware running in the midst of the European Union’s parliamentary elections.
