Microsoft Chief Info Security Officer: Ditch Passwords

Microsoft’s chief information security officer, Bret Arsenault, has recommended doing away with passwords to stamp out cyber threats. So reports CNBC.

Because so many hackers “password spray,” trying to get into employee accounts by entering commonly used passwords, Microsoft has moved toward facial recognition, fingerprints, and other tools such as the Authenticator app. Arsenault said 90% of Microsoft’s workforce can access the corporate network password-free.
