Wendy’s Settles Cyberattack Lawsuit for $50M

Wendy’s has agreed to pay $50 million to settle a class-action lawsuit over cyberattacks that affected more than 1,000 Wendy’s locations between 2015 and 2016. So reports the Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch.

The Columbus-area burger chain said it will pay $27.5 million of the amount, with the rest to be paid by insurance. Financial institutions had alleged that Wendy’s failed to safeguard customer data.
