Bluetooth Security Flaw May Let Hackers Intercept Data

Researchers have announced a security weakness in the Bluetooth wireless standard that could allow hackers to access sensitive data, including keystrokes. So reports Ars Technica.

The vulnerability likely affects Bluetooth chips by all manufacturers, and attacks that are exploiting the flaw are virtually impossible to detect without specialized equipment, the researchers wrote in a paper (PDF).

Microsoft, Apple, Google and other companies have already released software updates to address the weakness.
